JUNE 2011
Le Mans We started the practice sessions with a few issues in the shift settings, causing damage to the gearbox- unusual and not ideal way to start. Tom took a run on Qualifying tyres - but the compound proved difficult to turn on, 3 laps into quali run, the tyres stared to make grip, Tom made best S1 and S2 times, entering the first LHT in Porsche, nibbled the inside kerb, the front lifted up momentarily, but too much that the car could not recover the line, Tom hit a glancing blow to the gaurd rail ~260kmh. Damage suspension and bodywork hurt our spares plan. For the rest of the practices we concentrated on race prep. We ran at a steady pace until, Sunday morning where we found ourselves in the lead. During the last 5 hours of the race intermittent rain showers hit the circuit, making conditions variable. initially we stayed on slicks, Tom managed to control the pace from a dry 3:46lap time to 3:55, then as rain incresed the lap time bubbled to 4minutes, nearing the cross over point to inters. We pitted with TKS, changed tyres. Oli completed the race finally on slick tyres again. The car ran faultlessly - we finsihed P1 in LMP2 |

MAY 2011
SPA RACE 2 LMS Second race of the season. Great track, amazing weather - not a drop of rain all weekend .......! Qualifying distrupted with red flag mid session and not restarted, leaving us with only one lap on the board, enough for P8. Race started well, TKS getting up too 3rd, holding position pushing for second. Lap 15 the tyres suddenly decided to give up gripping, balloned up and the compound bubbled off. Result early pit stop, switched to the hard compound. Race went well, driver change at the second stop to KAO. Started well, holding position then two incidents, one contact putting us into the gravel and the second bigger hit, required serious A&E work inside the garage. FR corner needing replacing, and front and rear aero bodywork. Completed the race on track, but lost too much time with repairs for the result to be significant |

APRIL 2011
PAUL RICARD RACE 1 LMS First race of the 2011 season in the south of France, terific weather and one of the greatest race tracks in the world, resulted in a great team performance of winning P2 catergory and 3rd place overall. The 6 hour race was won with 2.5 hours to go, both Gary and Tom managed lap time against fuel consumption. It was a gamble not to run at maximum performance, but the strategy resulted in us 'running out' of fuel on the line ...as most of our competitors had to make a splash and dash pit stop in the last half an hour of the race. Very tense way to end a race.
Next event is the Le Mans Test Day. Our Nissan engine this year allows the car to be competitive. Good power , flat torque curve and very reliable. Working with a Japanese manufacturer provides the team access to extremely professional and sophisticated working practices.

JANUARY 2011
WINTER ORECA SERIES - PAUL RICARD Karim Ojjeh and Paul Thomas dominate the opening round of the Paul Ricard in the Radical SR8. The Saturday test day was cancelled due to snow! In very unusual winter condition Ricard had 20 cm of snow during the week and despite superb efforts ice on the track made it impossible to run. Qualifying 6 , and with 2 poles Sunday got off to a good start. Race 1 and 2 were 30 minute sprint races. Karim drove the first race. He had to work hard to move through the field. After 10 minutes Karim had drove superbly being patient and taking the opportunities well moved into the lead. Keeping a clear head he drive to the first win of the day brilliantly by 18 seconds Paul Thomas, (better known for his race engineering skills at Le Mans) drove the second sprint race. He achieved a lights to flag win with a faultless run. Team Principle Tim Greaves said, "How many race Teams have an engineer that can truly tell the drivers to move over and show them that they show them how to do it, fantastic!" Paul took the fastest lap on the day with a 1.21. The 2 drivers joined for the Endurance race. Karim started from pole but was out dragged by the Ferrari 430 driven by Kemenater and settled in to 2nd place and waited for his moment to pounce. On lap 4 he made his move. A sloppy driver change put Paul back out on track in P4. He had to work hard on very worn tyres because the second new set couldn't be used due to a technical problem. Paul managed to keep the charging FLM of Kuteman behind to take the Hat-trick of wins |

Then had three incidents , firstly contact which caused a slow puncture and rear body damage, next we had two excursions across the grass - each time filled up the radiators and caused the engine to overheat requiring additional pit stops, to clear the sidepods.
